What is the SERVE Step?
The SERVE Step is where ministry happens within the church. Members get a chance to use their S.H.A.P.E. (shape, heart, abilities, personality, experience) to serve the church.
Why do we need a SERVE Step?
As we learn to be disciples (followers) of Christ, we follow His example to us. The Bible teaches us that Jesus came "...not to be served, but to serve..." (Matthew 20:28). In the SERVE step, you'll continue to grow, while helping others to do the same.
When can I make the SERVE Step?
You can begin the SERVE Step once you've completed 8 weeks of a combination of Bible Study and/or Grow Groups in the Grow Step. Once you're done there, you'll attend an exciting session where you'll learn more about your S.H.A.P.E. and how you can impact the Body of Christ.
How do I take the Next Step to SERVE?
Complete the GROW Group requirement, talk to your group Facilitator to let them know that you're ready to take the Next Step, and take it!
